Is Stusan truly peer-to-peer? No server at all?

The media (video, audio, screen sharing) is truly P2P — streams travel directly between participants. Signaling (connection setup, session management) uses a lightweight signaling server, which is standard for any WebRTC implementation. The signaling server never sees or processes media content. For NAT traversal in restrictive network environments, TURN relay servers may be used as fallback, but media remains encrypted end-to-end.

Why is P2P limited to 6 participants?

In P2P (mesh) topology, each participant sends their video to every other participant directly. With 6 participants, each person maintains 5 outbound and 5 inbound video streams. This creates exponential bandwidth and CPU requirements. Beyond 6 participants, most consumer devices and networks can’t sustain the load reliably. For larger groups, our SFU-based platform Vatra supports up to 30 participants with optimized media routing.

Can I use Stusan for a dating app?
